7 DAYS KIGALI – NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK – LAKE KIVU
Day 1: ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT & TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL
Upon arrival at the Airport, meet the guide and who will give you the full briefing and orientation of the trip and transfer you to the hotel
Dinner & overnight at Marriott Hotel / mille collines hotel
Day 2: KIGALI CITY EXPLORATION & BUGESERA RECONCILIATION VILLAGE and NYAMATA GENOCIDE MEMORIAL CHURCH
Start historical-minded exploration of Kigali city with visits to landmarks from colonial, post-independence, genocide and post-genocide times i.e. Kigali Genocide memorial site where over 259,000 genocide victims were put to rest in mass graves, Campaign against Genocide Museum, Belgian camp where they killed the 10 Belgian UN soldiers who were protecting the moderate prime minister before the start of genocide.
Have lunch and transfer to Bugesera to visit the reconciliation village where the survivors of genocide live together in harmony with the perpetrators that killed their own families, interact with locals, involve in different activities i.e: traditional cooking, tradition dances, etc. visit Nyamata genocide church where thousands of innocent people were butchered in the house of God hoping to be safe.

Day 3: TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK ENROUTE VISIT MUSEUMS
Pickup in Kigali then transfer to the Nyungwe National Park en-route visit the ethnographical museum and the King’s palace which gives insights to the pre, past and colonial time and shows how Rwandese used to live, their culture, etc.
Lunch in Butare later proceed to Nyungwe.

Day 4: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND CANOPY WALK WAY
Early breakfast (5:00am) then transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing and grouping followed by a drive to the edge of the forest to track the human closest animals Chimpanzee.
The day ends with one of the most tourism highlight amazing canopy walk atop a 70m bridge raised above the beautiful green canopy of the ancient Nyungwe Forest, from the bridge one can identify a number of amazing birds.

Day 5: WATERFALL HIKE IN NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK & TRANSFER TO KIBUYE – LAKE KIVU
Breakfast and transfer to the Park reception for a briefing and start the hike to the famous Waterfall and enjoy the views of the ancient forest with different flora and fauna plus very beautiful trails along the way.
Lunch and transfer to Kibuye – Lake Kivu, the Rwanda’s most attractive of lake ports, nestled in a series of interwoven and undulating hills and offering visitors spectacular views of the lake, its islands and the stunning surrounding countryside. It is considered one of Rwanda’s hidden treasures, with its lush green hills and peaceful breeze. Dinner and overnight cleo hotel / Kivu Lodge
DAY 6: BOAT CRUISE TO THE NAPOLEON AND PEACE ISLANDS & TRANSFER TO KIGALI
Enjoy the breakfast at the shores of Lake Kivu followed by a boat ride to the Napoleon and Peace Islands. The islands introduce you to many wonders of Rwanda; the beautiful scenery and breathtaking landscapes; birds and fruit bats etc. An exclusive nature walk on both islands will be very rewarding for any visitor.
Lunch and transfer back to Kigali. Dinner and overnight at Marriott Hotel/ mille collines hotel
DAY 7: TRANSFER TO AIRPORT
Breakfast at the Hotel then transfer to Airport depending on the departure time….buy souvenirs at Caplaki shop if time allows. END OF SERVICE
