ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Uganda
Upon arrival at Entebbe International airport, you will be met and welcomed by our tour representative, who will thereafter transfer you to your accommodation for your overnight stay on Bed and breakfast basis. The residences are located a few kilometers from Entebbe International Airport where you will relax as you prepare for next day’s journey to the national park.
Travellers are advised to obtain full COVID-19 vaccination before travelling to avoid any inconveniences caused by testing upon arrival in Uganda.

Day 2: Drive from Entebbe to Kibale Forest national park
You will set off from Kampala to Kibale forest where you have 98% guarantee of viewing the chimpanzees in the wild. This park also boasts the highest concentration of primates than any other park in the world. You will have a stopover at Fort portal for lunch, thereafter proceed to the park for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi swamp tour
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kanyanchu tourist center for briefing before proceeding for chimpanzee tracking. Aside from the Chimpanzees, the incredibly diverse forest is home to over 13 species of primates including the rare L’Hoest, red Colobus monkey, blue monkey, black faced vervet monkeys, grey mangabey, pottos, baboons and also bush babies. Kibale forest has a network of shady flora trails that provide much to delight botanists and butterfly lovers, while birders are in for a treat with about 335 species recorded including the endemic Peregrine’s ground thrush.
In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Bigodi wetlands for the swamp walk and birding experience. You may encounter different bird species including the rare papyrus Gonolek that may be spotted.

Day 4: Drive to Bwindi NP
Early morning you will depart Kibale Forest and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey which may take up to about 8 hours will be comprised of several stopovers at different points for refreshing and lunch. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park houses the largest population of the world’s remaining rare mountain Gorillas. As soon as you arrive into the park, you will check in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay (Full board basis).

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi
After breakfast, you will set off to the park headquarters with your packed lunch. You will meet rangers who will separate you into different groups based on the Gorilla family you have been allocated to track; you will then follow the Gorilla trails with your ranger and start the Gorilla tracking activity. During the Gorilla tracking experience, you may also encounter other different primate species. Once the Gorillas have been tracked, you will you will be given an hour with the Gorillas taking pictures and videos. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge in Bwindi.

Day 6: Drive back to Entebbe and departure
You will start this day with an early breakfast in preparations for a transfer back to Entebbe. You will pass via the beautiful Kigezi highlands with beautiful terraces and have a stopover at the Equator for lunch and photographs. You will arrive in Entebbe in the evening. You shall be transferred to the airport to take your flight to the next destination.

The above price includes the following services
- One non-resident Gorilla permit and Chimpanzee tracking permit per person.
- Park fees for non-residents.
- All activities mentioned as specified in the meal plans (unless clearly labeled as optional).
- All accommodation properties mentioned in the itinerary.
- Roundtrip airport transfer in respect to the above itinerary.
- A professional and experienced English-speaking driver/tour guide.
- All transportation mentioned including fuel.
- All Taxes/VAT and all authority fees during the tour
- Mineral water and fruits while on the way.
Exclusions
- International flights from/to the client’s home country.
- Additional accommodation before and after the end of the tour. Accommodation upgrades are also not included.
- Tips, souvenirs, personal purchases, travel insurance and visa fees.
- Any COVID-19 testing fees.
- Other soft drinks or premium soft drinks and extra meals not mentioned in the itinerary.
Note: In case of unavailable accommodation properties, we shall suggest like alternatives. In case Gorilla or chimpanzee permits are not available on requested dates, we are able to adjust the itinerary or advise accordingly.
