Day 1: Arrival in Uganda – Entebbe International Airport

Our guide will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to the protea hotel for your night stay as you get ready to begin your trip the next day.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Embark on your 8 hours journey to the southwest part of Uganda. You will make a stopover at Masaka to view the Uganda equator where a water experiment will be made to show how the 2 hemispheres separate. Then continue with your drive as you view the various towns, markets, and farmed hillsides which will eventually lead you to Mbarara town where you will have lunch. Proceed on your journey to Bwindi national park.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early morning snack, you will head to the briefing point of the park where rangers will brief you about the behaviors of the gorillas and the rules to follow. After the short briefing, you embark on your 2 – 8 hours challenging trek through the impenetrable jungle of Bwindi with its rugged landscape. You will finally come across these endangered apes thriving in their habitats and socializing. You’re allowed only an hour in their presence so take enough photos/videos. Enjoy the experience as you watch them play, eat, swing, and make sounds.

After this activity retreats and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for an evening canoe ride exploring some of its 29 islands. Dinner and overnight at arcadia lodges.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a refreshing breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth. The drive involves traversing the rolling hills of kigezi and forested landscapes of Bwindi as you make your way to the north sector before approaching the southern sector of ishasha. This is where you will view tree-climbing lions on trees, grasslands, and in the road.

Continue to mweya safari lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 5: Game drive and Boat cruise along the Kazinga channel

Have an early breakfast, and then embark on your 3 – 4 hours game drive in the savanna game park. The early departure at 6 am gives you the opportunity to see night hunters like hyenas getting back to their hiding places and early risers setting off to look for what to eat. The drive through kasenyi and channel tracks gives you a chance to see a lot of animals such as lions, buffalo, elephants, leopards, kob, oribis, and jackals among others. Return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will start your 3 hours boat cruise along the kazinga channel. You will see water birds, Nile crocodiles, hippos, and elephants. The 45km channel stretches from Lake Edward to Lake George and has tranquil waters that always give pleasure and satisfaction to tourists.

Retire from this activity and return to the hotel for relaxation and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, embark on your 2hours journey to Kibale national park. The magical scenic views of the mountains of the moon will welcome you as soon as you leave Queen Elizabeth. Arrive at the chimpanzee guest house for lunch and relaxation.

After lunch, you will enjoy a city tour of fort portal town, visit the amabere caves and learn about their history. Retire in the evening and return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay at the mountains of the moon hotel.

Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Kampala

You will gather at the Kanyanchu tourism center for a briefing at 8 am from the park rangers about the chimp trekking conduct. The 2 – 5 hours trek will expose you to amazing species and wildlife such as colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and olive baboons. The sights of birds can’t be avoided while their songs will offer you natural entertainment through the jungle. You will marvel at the chimps as they roll in the trees, munch fruits, and pant–hooting calls. After this activity, you will return to the starting point and embark on your transfer to Kampala.
