DAY 1: Pick up from the airport to the hotel. Peacock Hotel or a similar hotel.

Day 2: After breakfast drive in 4WD Open Roof Safari Vehicle Selous Game Reserve for a late afternoon game drive.


Alternatively, from your hotel transferred to the Dar TAZARA Railway Station for Selous Express TRAIN with packed lunch. The coastal panorama of coconut palms with its small villages and mud huts makes way to the Mangrove swamps, the Rufiji River system. You will visit the Northern parties of the Selous, arriving late afternoon.

Dinner and overnight Rufiji River Camp.
DAY 3: After breakfast begins with the most exciting experience the Selous has to offer.
A walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger for approx. 1 to 2 hrs. This allows you to get a real feel of the African bush and allows you to see much more, especially birds, insects, and vegetation. Return to the camp by vehicle: Lunch at the Camp. After lunch explore the Selous further by game drives in the Selous. Overnight: Rufiji River Lodge Camp.
DAY 4: After breakfast explore the Rufiji River by boat. The trip provides the excitement of hippos and re-emerges will a snort of protest.
You will get the opportunity also to see crocodiles on the sandbars and watch animals drinking along the river banks. Lunch at the camp. After lunch, game drive in the Selous. Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp.
DAY 5: Early morning game drive in the Selous.
Breakfast at the camp. After breakfast; transfer to Ruaha National Park, or transfer to the airstrip for Ruaha Charter. You will be met by your driver/guide and transferred to Ruaha River Lodge for check-in and lunch. Have an afternoon game drive or game walk. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.
DAY 6: After breakfast, a full-day game drive of Ruaha National Park with a picnic lunch.

Ruaha, with an area of 10,300sq.km. Is the second-largest park, and second-largest elephant sanctuary in Tanzania. The great Ruaha River which flows along its entire eastern border, creating spectacular gorges and scenery, features a large number of hippos and crocodiles. The wide variety of animals includes greater and lesser kudu, roan and sable antelope. Bird life is rich, with over 370 species recorded. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.
DAY 7:
After breakfast drive to Mikumi National Park for a sunset game drive, overnight at Mikumi Wildlife Camp (Kikoboga) or Mikumi Bush Camp.
Day 8:

After breakfast, a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park, and overnight at Mikumi Wildlife Camp.
Day 9:

After breakfast drive to Udzungwa Mountains – National Park for half a day of Chimpanzee hiking and game drive, and then drive back to Dar es Salaam or transferred to Selous Airstrip for Dar Charter.

Day 10:
Transferred to the airport for an international airline connection or for Zanzibar Beach Holidays.
