LAKE MANYARA - NGORONGORO CRATER – SERENGETI

Day 1+2: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

We will pick you from Hotel in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park, 1h30m/120km. You will have game drive in Tarangire National Park for the whole day. Picnic lunch, more game drive, dinner and overnight at African Sunstar Resort

DAY 3: Short walking to EMPAKAAI CRATER and cultural tour in Bulati Village

After breakfast, drive to the rim of the Empakaai crater. Hike down to the crater floor. The Empakaai crater is one of the most beautiful places on the crater highlands. Part of the crater floor is covered by a jewel like lake. Walk along the lakeshore teeming with thousands of pink flamingos. The eerie lake, the occasional hyena chasing flamingoes, the distant buffaloes, the wild sounds … will make your spirit join with the body. The huge rift valley below and the nearby towering Mt. Ol-Doinyo L’engai form a fantabulous contrast to time you. Afternoon ascendto the rim and drive Bulati village to for culture visit, you will have chance to meet Maasai living in Ngorongoro Highland, later drive to your overnight Lodge at Ndutu Lodge , Meal plan – b/fast, lunch and dinner

Day 4:Serengeti National Park – Seronera Area

The drive to Serengeti National Park via Oldupai Gorge takes 3 to 4 hours. Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti plains, in which early human fossils were first discovered. It has an amazing landscape that resulted from the same tectonic forces that created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. Then, in the late evening drive to and overnight at theIkoma Bush Camp- full board.

Day5-7: Serengeti National Park –Seronera

After breakfast, venture into the Serengeti Seronerafor a full day of game viewing in the park. With a picnic lunch beside you, take your leisure while exploring this world heritage site, where earth’s largest concentration of plain game still roams free! In the late evening, go to the Serengeti Savannah Camp for rest, dinner, and overnight

Day 8:Serengeti –Ngorongoro

Sunrise game drive followed by breakfast, more game drive before driving to Ngorongoro for Dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge.

Day 9:Ngorongoro Crater

Descend into the crate as early as possible for game drive in the crater till lunch time. (Picnic lunch near the hippo pool) The crater is home for the endangered black Rhinoceros. So termed the garden of Eden’ you’ll see many other animals. Later ascend and drive Karatu for dinner and overnight atAfrican Sunstar Resort Full Board.

Day 10: Lake Manyara National Park

Leave after breakfast to Lake Manyara National Park takes about 40min. You will do morning game drive. Picnic Lunch at the Park, more game drive until in the evening when you will drive Arusha for dinner and overnight

TERMS AND CONDITION RESERVATIONS

Calabash Adventures requires a 30% non-refundable deposit of the total tour cost upon confirmation of the safari and the balance 30 days prior to the arrival for clients to safeguard the reservation. Reservations will be cancelled if the final payment is not received by the due date with full loss of deposit.

CANCELLATIONS

All cancellation must make in writing to Calabash Africa and all cancellation will be charged a cancellation penalty depending on the number of days before tour departure: Between 45 days and 30 days No refund of the deposit Less than 30 days No refund of the land cost There is no refund of any unused portion of your safari once commenced. Cancellation penalties on Airfare are additional and are not included in the above cancellation charges.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Tour cost are based on all known costs and rates of exchange at the 01stJan 2011, any significant changes beyond the control of Calabash will be passed on to clients. Calabash Africa also retains the right to alter any arrangements due to local conditions. Calabash Africa also retains the right to refuse any person from participating or continuing any tour for any reason or if that person causes or is deemed to cause hazard and/or inconvenience other passengers.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

VISA PAYMENTS

Visa fees for entry to Tanzania will be of US$ 50.00 per person per entry can be obtained from the border or any entry pint in Tanzania where there is Immigration office.

CURRENCY:

These vary tremendously from country to country. Travelers’ cheques and foreign currency must be changed at the bank, hotel, or safari lodge. Most countries will accept any traveler’s cheques when making payment of service or goods. (Tshs) is Tanzania currency.

CLOTHING:

Dress is mainly informal and should be comfortable as well as practical. Something warm should be brought along for early morning and evenings. Safari clothes are available from hotels/lodges/camps.

BAGGAGE:

Where possible, travel light. Baggage space on safari is limited to medium suitcase or holdall per person plus reasonable amount of hand luggage. There is 15 Kilogram per person limit on all flights to the wildlife sanctuaries. Excess luggage must be stored in your arrival hotel.

AIRPORT TAX:

These taxes are payable on final departure day from the country and practically all African countries (currently US$ 30.00 per person in Kenya and US$ 30.00 per person in Tanzania). There are also domestic taxes (average US$ 6 per person).

WATER

You will find many different of opinion of what is safe and what is not. We recommend for peace of mind, to drink local bottled mineral water. Calabash Provide 1.5 Littre of water a day per person.

HEALTH

Remember to take your Malaria medication and protect yourself from sun with sunscreen or safari hat. Yellow fever vaccination is very important. Please carry you certificate for all required vaccination.

To book this safari 30% deposit is necessary to confirm your reservation, can be paid through our Bank account. The Balance will be paid in Arusha in Cash/bank transfer. Please avoid US$ note below series 2000 (if payment will be done in cash) as they will have lower rate in East Africa. Or you can pay full amount to our bank account.

GUIDE AND CAR:

A Tanzanian-born Safari Guide A guide who will be your companion, your teacher, and at your service throughout your trip. Specially Outfitted Land Rovers Comfortable game viewing in specially outfitted 4-wheel drive Land Rover Defenders, the ultimate safari vehicles, with roof hatches and video camera charging sockets. You are guaranteed a window seat.
